For the centrally located main building of our Safari Resort, we wanted a lighting design that matched the African architecture, experience and atmosphere of and around the building. We also wanted to create a moonlight effect on the savannah, where the animals are. Realising this effect seemed impossible. Both to simulate the effect and not to disturb the welfare of the animals. Yet this has succeeded, partly due to the knowledge and skills of Arjen van der Cruijsen.

When it gets dark, the light above the savannah gradually changes color until the effect of moonlight is achieved. The entrance building has been highlighted in an inviting and appropriate way. An African sunset was simulated with light on the terrace behind.

I look back on a good and pleasant collaboration with Arjen van der Cruijsen. Arjen has a lot of knowledge about light, is creative and switches quickly between design and technical implementation. We and our guests are enthusiastic about the result!
